Potential volunteers must complete an application, as well as the senior recipient. Volunteers are expected to visit with recipients on a regular basis such as once a week, every two weeks, once a month, etc., and spend time with the senior recipient.
Chore services involve helping the senior with chores such as cleaning or to change a light bulb!
Youth Enrichment Services
The 4Cs youth programs use volunteers to help facilitate and promote intellectual and/or emotional development for local youth through various summer literacy programs such as the Summer Literary Project, the Drama Club, the Book Club, and the Family Bonds Reading Program.
Please consider volunteering to help guide these youth programs.
Emergency
Family Services
The 4Cs provide emergency financial assistance, food, clothing, furniture, and other items, to families facing financial crisis. These include utility, rent, and prescription assistance.
Holiday Assistance is provided to families during Thanksgiving and Christmas. A Thanksgiving dinner is provided, as well as gifts for Christmas is provided to families who qualify.
Weatherization – Qualifying homeowners are assisted with housing repairs and weatherization on their substandard homes.
Potential recipients for this service should contact the 4Cs for an assessment to qualify based on their individual situation. Recipients must live in the Clinton Public School District.
Assistance to individuals is based on the availability of funds, resources, and the time frame in which the client received services from the 4Cs.
Because of the vast number of requests, recipients are usually assisted once a year. (This is not the desire of the agency, but because resources are limited, we are unable to assist everyone who qualifies. )
